The flu has bit me in the ass
I'm so bored now that I could die. I'm in bed and I have the flu. Next to me is a small but gross mountain of toilet paper because I sneeze every two minutes. I'm too sick to read or concentrate for more than four minutes so I've been watching youtube clips from Japanese game shows to keep me from jumping out the window. So far it's working. This is by far my favorite clip:
New York was amazing. So amazing that I've bought another ticket to the fair city in January... but I'll only be passing through on my way to Austin, TX.
A guy I met in New York told me that if a person wanted to eat at a new restaurant in New York for breakfast, lunch and dinner it would take them a 100 years. That's a lot of restaurants.
My taxi driver to JFK was a guy from Costa Rica. He has lived in New York for 14 years and has three jobs. He's also in a band. His mother wants him to get married but he told me he wasn't in a hurry.

Packed my bags. Got myself a wad of dollars. New York City here I come. Ah yeah!
Iceland is dark these days. I had forgotten how dark it gets and how early in the day. The result is that I feel like sleeping ALL the time. I'm zombie Kamilla these days. Zzzzzz... Good thing I've been sleeping a lot because there will be no sleep in NYC!

The best case scenario
Before I left Denmark to work for Iceland Airwaves I talked to my team leader Kasper about my last year at the Kaospilots. I told him about the fact that for the first time in a rather long time I really have passion for what I'm doing. This basically happened with me, cliché as it may be, following my dreams. And one of my dreams is to work for SXSW. Well, my friends, this dream is about to come true! A few days ago I received an e-mail from the lovely Tami at SXSW telling me that they would like me to do my final project at the Kaospilots for them!!!! Yippeeeeeee! Little miss Texas, aka Kamilla Ingibergsdóttir, will be heading to Austin, Texas in January.
I will actually be going to the US a lot sooner. Yes, I'm going to New York in 12 days! I'll be visiting my dear friend Melina and staying with her for five days. I haven't been to New York since 2001 and that was pre-9/11 so I'm super duper and even pooper excited!
By the way, check out Team 12's internship blog. It's mighty fine!
